Morgan Burns

Director, Marketing and Brand Strategy

As the Director of Marketing and Brand Strategy at Kane, Morgan helps clients achieve business goals through strategic communications strategies that are deeply rooted in research, analysis and creative storytelling.

 

After graduating from the University of Iowa with a B.A. in Spanish, little direction and feedback that she was a “good writer,” Morgan stumbled into a copywriting position, which ignited a deep passion for branding that grew into a 13-year career spanning industries from beauty to railroading. Having worked in-house and agency-side; B2B and B2C; with start-ups, Fortune 500s and everything in-between, Morgan understands that every company is unique, and strong strategies are built on solid research.

 

Beginning her career as a copywriter, Morgan knows that words matter. They give form to ideas and turn goals into action. They inspire organizations to move in the same direction and to change course when they need a new narrative. The way we tell our stories connects us to others, builds trust over time and sets the stage for business growth and success.

 

Outside of work, Morgan can often be found on her yoga mat. She is a 200-hour level certified yoga instructor and will receive her 300-hour certification in the summer of 2019. Off the mat, Morgan enjoys being at home and cooking with her fiance, as well as traveling and exploring new places. She serves on the Board of Directors for the Society of Marketing Professional Services and volunteers in her community every opportunity she can.
