In the midst of COVID-19, another pandemic was occurring: the opioid crisis. Milwaukee County’s County Executive and Behavioral Health Services partnered with Kane to create an integrated media campaign to let County residents know help is available.
In 2021, Kane helped a local entertainment district announce that Beyond Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience was coming to its convention center. After two extensions, a six-month stay and over 200,000 tickets sold, Beyond Van Gogh stands as the highest grossing event in both the convention center and the exhibit’s history.
In 2021, Kane worked with a local nonprofit to create an annual report highlighting the organization’s outreach to area grantees over 18 months.

In 2021, Kane developed an integrated marketing campaign for the City of Racine that resulted in a 19 percent increase in the City’s daily COVID-19 vaccination rate.
Kane helped a leading financial institution identify a new brand architecture that would allow them to enter new markets and aggressively grow sales.
For the 2020 presidential election, Kane helped the City of Racine expand their voter education and outreach efforts, ensuring that eligible voters could participate in a safe and timely way and resulting in record voter participation rates.
In spring of 2020, the COVID-19 began to spread widely around the world. With little yet known about the disease, Kane was called upon by the Unified Emergency Operations Center in Milwaukee County to do whatever we could to help them slow the spread so that our health care providers didn’t get overloaded, ultimately saving lives in the process.
Kane helped to ensure more eligible households in Milwaukee County were aware of the Energy Assistance Program through this integrated communications campaign that utilized community events, elected official relations, digital and traditional advertising and more.
In 2020, Kane launched a digital ad campaign for the City of Racine focused on raising awareness of COVID-19 and educating audiences on how to #StaySafeRacine.
With behavioral health needs on the rise and a nationwide nursing shortage on their hands, BHD was experiencing an extreme shortage of nurses. Kane Communications Group created a media campaign to address rumors of the hospital’s closure and to increase the number of qualified nursing applicants.
Health care and social services in the United States today are continually changing, forcing the organizations providing these services to either adapt with the times, or be left behind. LSS of Wisconsin and Upper Michigan was quickly adapting, and Kane helped to ensure its internal and external brand properly reflected the organization as it stands today.
A residential treatment program for youth, located in northeast Wisconsin, was having trouble finding viable applicants for open positions – leaving the program understaffed and unable to accept more children into their program. An award-winning recruitment campaign for youth counselors in rural Wisconsin generated big results – delivering ROI in less than three months.
The new CEO of an entertainment district arrived to find the organization’s employees lacked enthusiasm for their jobs. He knew an improvement in employee morale would improve customer retention and acquisition and increase sales. He needed help to address this challenge.
One in four college students have a diagnosable mental illness, yet 40 percent do not seek help. It’s no wonder that the behavioral health services offered by Wraparound Milwaukee were being underutilized. Kane developed a strategic communications campaign aimed to increase the number of college students in Milwaukee County accessing Wraparound’s services and resources.
Kane Communications Group developed and implemented a communications plan for Vision Forward to inform key stakeholders about the board’s decision to sell the campus and what this sale would mean for them and the future of the organization. Through personalized communications, each audience was able to access timely and relevant information.
